News:Peter's Flute Concerto has been named a semi-finalist in the American Prize Ernst Bacon Memorial Award for the Performance of American Music. The performance by the Kansas Wesleyan University Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Carl Rowles, with Rose Bishop as soloist is one of fifteen performances selected as semi-finalist.
Several of Peter's compositions will be featured at the International Low Flutes Festival in Tokyo, Japan in March. Compositions scheduled to be performed include: Nuestro Pueblo, Nighthawks, and Locomotion.

The panel discussion "Composing, Copyright and Self Publishing" will take place on Monday, July 1 at 4pm in Grand Ballroom D at the Hyatt Regency.
The Texas Woman's University Flute Choir has commissioned a new piece to be premiered at the 2019 National Flute Association Convention in Salt Lake City, UT in August. On Broad And Rolling Plains is a single movement work, that pays homage to the state of Texas.
Peter was in the studio with The Los Angeles Flute Orchestra to record two of his compositions to complete the LAFO's next CD release. The LAFO recorded Insomniac Blue as well as Karpaty. These two pieces will also going the Alto Flute Concerto, with soloist Peter Sheridan and Nighthawks, with soloist Ali Ryerson. The new release will be available in late summer 2019.
Peter has been commissioned by Los Angeles based flutist Ellen Burr to compose a piece for solo flute and jazz band. Broadway Boogie Woogie will be premiered in the fall of 2019.
Peter's Jazz Concertino for flute & flute choir will be premiered on April 29 by the renowned flutist Jim Walker and the Los Angeles Flute Orchestra. The concert will also feature: Beyond the Night Sky; Canadian Celebration; Insomniac Blue; Karpaty; LA Rhapsody; Look Out Below and Nuestro Pueblo.
Concerto for Flute and Wind Ensemble will be premiered on Thursday, April 12 by Pam Youngblood, flute and the Texas Woman's University Wind Ensemble, under the baton of Carter Biggers. The piece was commissioned by a consortium of schools, lead by Texas Woman's University to celebrate Dr. Pam Youngblood's 25th anniversary at TWU.
