Welcome to the official website for the music of Peter Senchuk.  Originally from Windsor, Ontario, Canada, this Los Angeles based composer’s music includes feature film scores, as well as concert works for big band, chamber ensembles and full orchestra.

Peter starts scoring Justin Seibel's film "Kill, My Lovely". The film is a suspenseful drama and will feature a jazz score.

Peter will conduct the Palisades Symphony Winds on March 30, 2008.  The program will include the premiere of his composition “Proem”, as well as Orff’s “Carina Burana” and Gounod’s “Peitie Symphonie for Winds”

“Eve of Understanding” will be released on DVD, on March 25, 2008 by Vanguard Cinema.  Look for it at Netflix, Hollywood Video and Amazon.com.

Peter’s latest composition is a set of six preludes for solo Bandura.  The preludes will be completed this fall and recorded by Victor Mishalow at the end of the year.  The collection is entitled “Lviv Preludes”, and is inspired by locations and landmarks in the city of Lviv in Western Ukraine.

Peter’s arrangement of “Goodbye” for big band will be recorded by Ron Kischuk and the Masters of Music Big Band in Detroit MI this fall.

Peter’s concerto for two flutes and orchestra “Of Bleakness and Humour”, was performed in March 2007 by the Pacific Palisades Symphony in Pacific Palisades, CA.
